Acting for Young People of Fairfax, VA is proud to continue two new programs in 2017-18! Our Creative Writing for the Stage and Screen is a workshop-style class taught by local playwrights designed to encourage teens with an interest in writing to practice and hone their craft.
We are also pleased to bring back our Student Holiday Programs. Held on days that Fairfax County Public Schools are off during the year, these one-day workshops are the perfect opportunity to get to know AFYP. Students are divided into two age groups (5-11 and 12-18) and will learn all about a specific theater topic during the day. This year’s titles include Improv, Musical Theater: Contemporary, Audition Techniques, and Acting with STEAM. Siblings may attend together. These programs have been a hit with students – they are a great, enriching way to spend your day off!
For any parents who are interested in giving acting a try, we are also reprising our hit Acting Workshop for Adults! Adults 18+ will learn about scene study and characterization over 8 weeks.
More information about these and more programs is available on Activity Rocket.
