Capital Photography Center, in DC, MD and VA, offers a large variety of classes in the Metro DC area, including Moms With Cameras, Digital SLR Photography Basics, and our very popular Photo Safaris. All classes are taught by experienced, professional photographers and renowned photographic educators. Small class size and limited enrollment means our students receive individual attention.
What are your most popular classes and/or camps?
By far our most popular class is the DSLR Photography Basics. If you want to learn how to get off of the Auto mode and take control of you camera, this class is for you. Learn how to shoot in the Shutter mode to stop action and learn how to use the Aperture mode to blur out the backgrounds. Focus settings, color settings and more are discussed in detail as well.
What ages do you serve?
Ages 14 -99. Our classes are small enough that we can give individual attention to each participant and work with them on the level they’re at.
Can siblings come together?
Absolutely, siblings and friends often enjoy our classes together.
Do you offer any special needs programming?
No, not at this time.
What do kids and parents say about your company?
Our classes are taught by educators (who just happen to be photographers) so we understand how people learn. Our class participants love that we can help them learn photography using plain and simple language, with hands on practice, in friendly and encouraging environment.
We offer our classes in a variety of locations; in DC on H St NW behind the White House, in Falls Church near the Beltway and Route 50, and at VisArts of Rockville. Our In-The-Field Shooting classes are a fun way to continue learning at locations such as Annapolis, Brookside Gardens, the National Zoo and a variety of places around the Mall in DC.
