Tackle the Food-Allergy Wars With Author April Peveteaux Dec 10th

Sunday December 10th at 10:30am join author April Peveteaux in learning how to cope with food allergies in kids.

Living the food allergy life and having a kid who can’t have dairy, tree nuts, peanuts, or soy is not easy. Neither is worrying about accommodating all the food requirements at a play date. From avoiding major food allergens and respecting food preferences like vegetarian or vegan to being aware of religious practices like keeping kosher, making a simple snack resembles navigating a minefield.

Author April Peveteaux joins us at the Julia Bindeman Suburban Center on Sunday, December 10 at 10:30 am for an entertaining discussion on how to tackle dietary challenges and keep everyone food safe.

April lives with celiac disease, which causes her body to have an auto-immune reaction when she eats gluten. In her first book, Gluten Is My B*tch, she offered a brutally honest and hilarious take on the realities of living a gluten-free life.

Now, with her new book, Bakes Sales Are My B*tch: Win the Food Allergy Wars With 60+ Recipes to Keep Kids Safe and Parents Sane, she’s brought her humorous energy to tackling food allergies for the whole family.

In conversation with DJ Schneider Jensen, Head of Schools for WHC’s Early Childhood Centers, April will lend some much-needed guidance and insight on how to tackle the food challenges your family will face.

This program is free and open to the public. Learn more and RSVP to attend at whctemple.org/Lecture. Sponsored by the Edlavitch-Tyser Family Relations Forum.
